VP of HR Department: Human Resources Employment Type: Full Time Location: Shield Technology Partners - Tampa Compensation: $180,000 - $210,000 / year Description The Vice President of Human Resources is an experienced, strategic, hands-on leader who can help scale our HR function in alignment with our business objectives. This is a critical leadership role responsible for both setting the vision and executing the day-to-day HR operations. The VP of HR will work closely with senior leadership to build a high-performing, inclusive, and resilient organizational culture while driving key HR initiatives across the company. Other duties may be assigned: Strategic HR Leadership: Shape and execute the overall HR strategy to support the organization's goals, ensuring it aligns with our unique business model and stage of growth. Operational Oversight: Lead all aspects of HR operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compensation planning, and compliance. Policy Development & Compliance: Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Culture & Engagement: Champion a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture that supports employee satisfaction, productivity, and retention. Post-M&A Integration: Lead all HR-related efforts during mergers and acquisitions, including cultural integration, benefits harmonization, payroll, and policy alignment. Payroll Management: Full understanding of payroll management, process, and technology. (UKG platform experience a plus) Problem Solving & Innovation: Serve as a solutions-oriented leader, proactively addressing both recurring and novel challenges. Develop and refine a scalable HR playbook tailored to our business. Executive Advising: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on organizational development, talent strategies, conflict resolution, and workforce planning. Stakeholder Engagement: Represent HR in senior-level meetings and independently manage relationships with key external partners and vendors. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 10+ years of HR leadership experience in IT MSPs. Proven success scaling sales teams and driving $50M+ in revenue growth. Deep understanding of MSP business models, sales cycles, and go-to-market strategies. Strong track record in coaching sales teams and closing high-value deals. Experience managing strategic partnerships and complex sales. Proficient in CRM tools, pipeline management, and sales automation. Willingness to travel for partner meetings, industry events, and key initiatives. Preferred Experience in other roll-up or buy-and-build platforms Prior experience with private equity UKG platforms and modules Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred. 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR role. Demonstrated experience scaling HR operations in a high-growth or transformative environment. Proven success leading post-merger HR integration. Knowledge and understanding of payroll process, technology, and implementation Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to also execute hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. Interested in working from home?
