Department Compensation Services | Office of Human Resources Responsibilities As a Compensation Specialist , you will play a key role in supporting our university's compensation and classification programs. Manage ePAF processes, including final approvals, documentation review, and troubleshooting routine system issues. Process supervisory updates and manual personnel actions with precision and timeliness. Partner with FSU Payroll to ensure compensation actions are executed accurately. Monitor key compensation reports and queries to help ensure employees receive accurate pay. Support system updates and testing to enhance HR processes and tools. Triage and route Compensation Salesforce cases, shared inbox communications, and digital documents to the right teams. Maintain and update department-wide and University-wide organizational charts using SmartDraw. Contribute to special projects and provide general support to the Compensation & Classification team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in human resources or a related field; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of the same experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.) Preferred Qualifications At least two years of human resources or administrative support experience. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to utilize problem solving skills. Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices. Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
