Department Attendance & Leave | Office of Human Resources Responsibilities This position is responsible for processing faculty termination personnel actions, issuing leave payouts, coordinating leave transfers, and administering the faculty and postdoc paid parental leave programs. Responds to questions, provides interpretation related to faculty leave policies and procedures, and makes recommendations regarding updates to policies and procedures. Processes leave adjustments for all employees and assists departments in auditing attendance & leave records for all employees. Maintains the personnel files in the OnBase system for the Attendance & Leave section. Qualifications Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma/equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.) Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of faculty policies and procedures regarding leave administration & separation. Experience with Florida State's PeopleSoft HR system. Understand/interpret/apply applicable rules governing work authorization, pay, and appointments. Helpful Who is an ideal candidate for this position? Work in this position involves constant communication with university employees regarding leave benefits, separation procedures, and payroll timelines/process. This role is responsible for researching employee information and processing leave payouts, leave transfers, and faculty paid parental leave requests. While you will have similar tasks each week, every day brings a new challenge, particularly when responding to employee inquiries.
